About the Author
Marguerite Connelly is a reinvention coach, intuitive guide, and author of Addicted to the Addicted: A Mother's Tale of Going from Heartbreak to Hopeful. Her work centers around helping women reclaim their voice, rewrite their story, and rise from the depths of heartbreak into lives of meaning and empowerment.

She is the founder of Your Expediter, Inc., a consulting firm established in 1995, and one of the few women to lead a successful business in the building development industry in New York. She has served on the board of the Hanley Foundation and is a recognized thought leader in conversations surrounding addiction, recovery, and generational healing. Marguerite is also a co-founder of L.O.V.E.—Ladies Oppose Violence Everywhere.

A graduate of New York University, she also studied at Oxford, Yale, and Columbia. Her journey from business executive to healing mentor is what inspired her to help other women stop surviving and start truly living.

My Addiction

My constant need to stalk my child wasn’t due to codependency—it was pure fear.
I believed it was my maternal duty to keep him alive.

Most of my days—and many nights—were spent ringing his phone over and over. If he didn’t answer, I would drive through dark, unfamiliar neighborhoods searching for him. It was physically and emotionally exhausting. And it felt justified.

What I didn’t realize then was that I had become addicted to the chaos, the fear, the false sense of control.

I had lost myself.

But That Wasn't the End

That chapter cracked me open.
It was the beginning of a deeper story—the one where I finally started coming home to myself.

Today, I help other women do the same.

As a certified coach and intuitive guide, I support women who are ready to break generational cycles, reclaim their voice, and stop abandoning themselves for the sake of everyone else.

Because survival isn’t the goal.
Reinvention is.
